In February 2009 Żabka Polska S.A. became a member of Partner Club, a prestigious organisation at Poznań University of Economics.

Both parties have acknowledged:

• the need of a closer co-operation between the field of science and economy,
• the perspective of  bilateral benefits from long-lasting and broad contacts between the domains of science and business,
• the necessity of a greater responsiveness of economic elites to social needs.

The agreement was signed by and between professor Witold Jurek, Rector of Poznań University of Economics and Jacek Roszyk, Ph. D., the CEO of Żabka Polska S.A.

The Partner Club of the University of Economics in Poznań is an association of companies and institutions playing a crucial role to the economy of Wielkopolska and Poland.

Activities of the Partner Club include:

• Biannual recruitment sessions to choose best candidates for interns in Partner Club member companies. The recruitment is carried out by students of SKN HR.
• Academic research on the economy of Wielkopolska. The subjects of the most recent works were direct investments and their role in the development of Wielkopolska region and social responsibility of business environment.
• Open classes where representatives of Partner Club member companies provide students with a practical insight into business issues. The classes are organised as series of lectures.
• Refurbishment of lecture halls. To date, with support from partner companies, six lecture halls have been equipped with modern audiovisual equipment.

Partner Club also organises university events, such as the annual Partner Club Day and meetings with prominent guests, the most recent being Hans Dietrich Genscher, Leszek Balcerowicz and Jan Maria Rokita.
